The hydro-testing process involves completely filling the tank with water and applying controlled pressure using calibrated testing equipment. This method enables our experienced engineers to detect even the smallest leaks, manufacturing defects, weld imperfections, or structural weaknesses while confirming that the tank can safely withstand its designated operating pressure. Since water is virtually incompressible, hydrostatic testing is considered one of the safest and most effective methods for pressure testing petroleum transportation equipment, storage tanks, and industrial pressure vessels.

At AutoCare Experts, all hydro-testing procedures are conducted under the supervision and guidance of internationally recognized inspection and certification organizations, including Bureau Veritas and Velosi, ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and customer specifications. Newly fabricated tanks are hydro-tested at 5 PSI for 30 minutes, while tanks already in service are tested at 3 PSI to verify their continued structural integrity, leak resistance, and operational safety before being returned to service.

Every successful hydro-test confirms that the tank is leak-free, structurally sound, and capable of maintaining the required pressure under normal operating conditions.
